Rio Picante is an innovative concept in Mexican cuisine with great authentic Mexican flavors inculcated with modern American cuisine combined with great service in a relaxed, casual atmosphere. The concept created by Harry Patel, a successful business entrepreneur in the Chattanooga area and Vinit Barot, a third generation businessman in hospitality with a Higher Diploma from Swiss School of Hotel and Tourism Management in Chur, Switzerland.

Rio Picante opened its doors in the fall of 2008 and has quickly become a hot spot among locals, visitors, and college students alike. Its proximity to many of Downtown Chattanooga's most notable businesses and attractions makes it the ideal stop for lunch, dinner, or an evening out with friends! Located immediately across from the Tennessee Aquarium, Rio Picante has an amazing view of the Tennessee River-front as well as some of the best seats around for the annual Riverbend Festival. Neighbored by the Downtown Chattanooga Courtyard by Marriott and IMAX and Bijou movie theaters, with plenty of parking in several adjacent parking lots. In what was formerly the Chattanooga Burger Bar, Rio Picante's space has undergone a million dollar renovation that includes a new courtyard style archway in the patio area that is adorned with a water fountain and an entirely renovated bar.
